You’re standing in the checkout line at Wal-Mart, glancing at your watch every five seconds thanks to the slowpoke cashier up front and her customer, who can’t find their debit card. You’re ready to buy a hammer you really don’t need, and put it to good use. Then you notice the guy three people in front of you. He doesn’t seem to notice that the service moves in geologic time. He stands there typing on his iPad as if that act were the only one in town. That guy is probably me. I’m probably writing about the cashier and her customer.
Writing is both a compulsion and an art. I’ve written at least ten books (sometimes, like now, I lose count). I’m subjecting them all to various levels of editing. Some have been published; still more will find their way to print in the coming months. Paper books, ebooks, novels, short stories, and in a wide range of genres.
If I were to brag, and that doesn’t come naturally to me, I’d say I’m a pretty good writer. The reviews back me up on that. Pick up one of my books, and I’m sure you’ll agree.
